Retail Park Les Mates

Retail Park Les Mates contains 25 units divided over two floors. It offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema. The center is easily accessible and highly visible, located at the crossing of the N 340 (Barcelona Taragona) and C 15 (El Vendrell – Valls). The retail park has 400 parking spaces.

History

Les Mates was TCN’s first redevelopment project in Spain. TCN bought this 10,000 sqm leisure center in 2008. Upon purchase the center was in distress, with over 25% vacancy and poorly managed. TCN saw the potential, because of the good accessibility, visibility and catchment area, to transform the center from a small sized leisure center into a mid-sized retail park. The transformation took place in phases. In 2009, night leisure at the first floor was reactivated. In 2010 the center obtained a retail license for approximately 5,000 sqm GLA and a license for an extension of approximately 2,000 sqm, necessary to create the critical mass for a successful retail park. The project is now in the management phase.
