A-Factorij

Transformation of an old energy plant in Groningen into state-of-the-art office, meeting and convention space.

The A-Factorij is a characteristic site for creative businesses. It was built in and around an empty bicycle factory located on the canal De Schinkel in the South of Amsterdam.

TCN saw the location’s potential and focused on the repurposing of the bicycle factory and its warehouses and small workshops as well as new, unexpected office villas. A newly constructed street connects the different buildings and businesses.

Immediately following the purchase TCN attracted two creative businesses for 70% of the rentable space. This facilitated the financing of the transformation.

The overall marketing campaign focused on attracting other creative businesses. The first offers arrived already during the redevelopment phase. Therefore, TCN was able to sell it immediately after completion.
