Transformation of 56,000 sqm former mail distribution center into Outdoor & Travel Center, including diving pool, rock and ice climbing wall.
The Globe is a typical TCN project. This prominent building, located next to the Den Haag Hollands Spoor train station, became partially vacant when the distribution of the mail changed from rail to over the road. The City of The Hague asked TCN to come up with a proposal for a different purpose for the building. TCN developed a concept which had two main functions: Industrial offices and retail centered on outdoor, nature, and adventure.
It became an Outdoor & Travel Center. Here visitors can find everything related to outdoor sports and outdoor traveling. Besides booking trips and shopping, visitors can immediately try out their new purchases in the diving pool, on the rock climbing wall, or on the ice climbing wall.
